Welcome to Sorrento

Ciao, fellow adventurers! Prepare to embark on a family-friendly escapade along Italy's stunning Sorrentine Peninsula – a slice of Italian paradise that promises adventure, relaxation, and plenty of gelato! Let us take you through our whirlwind five-night itinerary of Sorrento, Italy, with Kids, packed with unforgettable experiences that will leave your hearts and bellies happy.

Our journey began with a warm welcome at Naples airport, where our Private Transfer driver whisked us away to our home away from home – La Pergola Hotel in charming Sorrento. Nestled amidst the bustling peninsula, this hidden gem boasts a refreshing pool and picturesque balconies overlooking lush surroundings. With two cozy rooms booked for our family, we were all set to dive into the magic of Sorrento.

If you've never visited Sorrento before, prepare to be enchanted! Less glamorous than its famous neighbour, the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento exudes its unique charm—from bustling alleyways to breathtaking coastal views.

Our days were filled with adventures both on land and sea. We started our exploration with a skip-the-line tour of the awe-inspiring ancient ruins of Pompeii. Led by a knowledgeable guide, we wandered through the streets frozen in time, marvelling at the remnants of this ancient city and the towering presence of Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. After a day of discovery, we returned to Sorrento to unwind with swims and gelato – because what's a trip to Italy without gelato?

Next, visiting La Masseria Farm Experience offered a delightful taste of rural life in the Italian countryside. From strolling through olive groves to petting friendly goats, every moment was a delight for the senses. And let's not forget the mouthwatering lunch prepared by the talented Nonna—an authentic farm-to-table experience that left us craving more.

But the most exciting part? A boat trip to the dazzling island of Capri! Every moment was pure magic, from exploring many sea grottoes to cruising through the iconic Faraglioni Rocks. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we whizzed back to Sorrento with hearts full of joy and memories to last a lifetime.

Our final day in Sorrento was a mix of poolside relaxation and exploration. We soaked up the sun at a cliffside beach, sipped drinks at a clifftop bar, and indulged in one last slice of authentic Italian pizza before bidding farewell to this coastal paradise.

But fear not, dear readers! Our adventure doesn't end here. Join me next time as we journey to the Eternal City of Rome, where ancient wonders and gelato await. Until then, arrivederci Sorrento – you've stolen a piece of our hearts.
